Addressed to:

Inspired by our mission to accompany the growth of leaders in different fields of work in order to increase their impact in Central America, we are pleased to invite educational leaders to this conference that is held in partnership with the Universidad Autónoma de México y Resplandor Internacional.

Content

The conference will offer a look at the role of the School Director who works in difficult contexts, from the experiences and research carried out by a high level professional. Many processes are focused on the teacher and the pedagogy but few emphasize the importance of the role played by the School Director.

Guest Speaker:

Dr. Miguel Ángel Díaz Delgado is a member of the Research Institute of the Autonomous University of Mexico (IISUE), where he conducts research related to the training of school leaders in an approach to practices for the creation of shared models. From his experience with directors of rural and urban schools in Western Mexico, he will offer us insightful perspectives on the conditions for educational leadership in rural and urban public schools.

Dr. Díaz Delgado is a postdoctoral graduate of the University of Saskatchewan of Canada, and the first scholar of the School of Administration and Educational Leadership for the Unit of Administration and Educational Leadership (SELU). He taught in the doctoral program and participated as a speaker in undergraduate courses at the University.  He does training work with teachers in rural indigenous areas, and founded the ITEP (Indian Teacher Education Program).
