Norma Bajan- Leader of the Month

Norma is the Executive Director of Guatemala at Estrella del Mar (EDM), an organization with a mission to transform the world by empowering women, one girl at a time. EDM reaches this mission by educating and providing social emotional support to girls as they complete their education and blaze trails for themselves as leaders in their families, communities, and their country.

Of their fearless leader staff at Estrella del Mar say, “Norma is a woman with many dreams whose tireless fighting is contagious -- she makes everyone walk together to make what was once impossible reality!”, “her passion, dedication and the heart that she brings to generational change -- those things make her unique, make her a great leader that inspires one to follow her.” Norma uses her voice to change the world, she is a charismatic woman who “transforms with her example more than her words.”

Undoubtedly it is these reasons, and many others, that have led Norma to a growing number of recognition, including being selected as this November Leader of the Month. We honor her this month as an outstanding example of the leaders that come through the Leadership and Collaboration Certificate at ALG.
